James C. Boyd Funeral Home

Award by CRA:  $50,000 / $10,000

Total Project Investment:  $500,000

Scope:  Awarded a landscape and facade grant, the project included a building teardown to the concrete block wall and a complete rebuild of:  windows, doors, roof, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.  Landscape, site work, a new parking lot, lighting, and signage was also completed.

 

Angels Caribbean Bar & Grill

3380 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Total Project Investment:  $50,000

Scope:  Awarded a landscape and facade grant, the project included landscape and site work, parking lot resurfacing, lighting, window replacement, paint and signage.

 

Utopia Unisex Salon

3071 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Total Project Investment:  $94,200

Scope:  Awarded a landscape, facade, and interior improvement grant, the project included a new facade, windows and doors, signage, lighting, courtyard, landscape and interior renovations.

Tobler Construction Offices

Total Project Investment:  $40,000

Scope:  Adjacent to Utopia Unisex Salon, the property owner opted to improve the exterior of an adjacent building used for construction offices.

Ark of Safety Child Care Center 

3696 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Award by CRA:  $57,750

Total Project Investment:  $90,000

Scope:  Awarded a landscape and facade grant, the project included a new front elevation and facade treatment, enhanced landscape, irrigation, parking lot resealing and striping, and new fencing.

Quality of Life Center

3120 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Award by CRA:  $42,617

Total Project Investment:  $84,000

Scope:  Awarded a landscape and facade grant, the project included landscape and site work, parking lot resurfacing, lighting, window replacement, paint and signage.

McCollum Hall

2701 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Total Project Investment:  $2,300,000

Scope:  Building and land acquisition, building stabilization and building enhancements.
